  • plant cuticle ridge (PO:0025536): A portion of plant cuticle (PO:000022) that forms a ridge, may be overlayed with epicuticular wax (PO:0025388). Comment: The plant cuticle ridges are mainly cutin (PO:0025385).
  • adventitious shoot axis PO:0025534: A shoot axis (PO:00025029) that develops in an unusual place. develops from a bud (narrow synonym adventitious bud )
  • plant sap (new PO:00255380): A portion of plant substance (PO:0025161) that is an aqueous solution which may contain sugars, hormones, mineral elements and/or other nutrients. Comment: plant sap should not be confused with latex or resins.
  • xylem sap (new PO:0025539): A plant sap (PO:0025538) that is an aqueous solution which may contain mineral elements, nutrients, and plant hormones, and is transported from the root system (PO:0025025) toward the leaves through the tracheary elements (PO:0000290) of the xylem. Comment: Transport of sap in xylem is characterized by movement from the roots toward the leaves.
  • phloem sap (new PO:0025539): A plant sap (new PO:0025538) that is an aqueous solution which may contain sugars, mineral elements, and plant hormones, and is transported through the phloem sieve elements (PO:0025406).
  • bundle sheath cell (PO:0025541): A ground tissue cell (PO:0000076) that is part of a bundle sheath (PO:0006023). part_of bundle sheath
  • bundle sheath chlorenchyma cell (PO:0025542): A chlorenchyma cell (PO:0000076) that is part of a bundle sheath (PO:0006023).

tapetum terms

  • tapetum cell (PO:0025543): A plant cell (PO:0009002) that is part of the tapetum (PO:0025313). exact synonym: tapetal cell. comment: The tapetum is the inner-most layer of a sporangium wall (PO:0025306).
  • microsporangium tapetum cell (PO:0025544): A tapetum cell (PO:0025543) that is part of a microsporangium tapetum (PO:0025314). part_of a microsporangium tapetum; exact synonym: tapetal cell
  • anther wall tapetum cell (PO:0025545): A microsporangium tapetum cell (PO:0025544) that is part of the anther wall tapetum (PO:0009071). part_of the anther wall tapetum; exact synonym: anther wall tapetal cell

paraclade terms

  • accessory paraclade (PO:0025546): A primary inflorescence branch (PO:0009081) borne in same axil as an existing primary inflorescence branch (PO:0009081).
  • cauline paraclade (PO:0025547): An inflorescence branch (PO:0009081) borne on the elongated first order inflorescence axis (PO:0025104).
  • rosette paraclade (PO:0025548): An inflorescence branch (PO:0009081) borne on the compacted first order inflorescence axis (PO:0025104), forming the rosette.

trichome terms

  • unicellular trichome (new PO:0025537)- A trichome (PO:0000282) that is a single plant cell (PO:0009002). is_a trichome, is_a plant cell. comment: This should not be confused with a trichome cell, which is a plant cell (PO:0009002) that is part of a multicellular trichome (PO:0000282).
  • trichome apex (new PO:0025550): A plant structure (PO:0009011) that is the apical most portion of a trichome (PO:0000282).

comment: This term is the parent to the apex of a multicellular trichome (PO:0025162) or a unicellular trichome (PO:0025537), specifically, a multicellular trichome apex (PO:0025551) and an unicellular trichome apex (GO:0090552), which is a GO cellular component term. is_a plant structure, part_of trichome

  • Error in the header: in current version (r1916) and line 26, the tag is misspelled. You currently have a tag called treat-xrefs-as-genus-differntia in the header. The correct spelling is treat-xrefs-as-genus-differentia (Note the additional 'e' in differentia). Judging from the SVN logs, this error has been there for more than one year. inferences may be slightly incomplete or otherwise affected. Once fixed,should check your inferences, just to be sure.
